welcome to Woodbridge Lodge, a family owned and operated
residential home for the elderly set in landscaped
gardens.
Janet
Mackinnon and a team of qualified staff provide the
highest standard of care to their residents in this
beautiful Georgian house.
At
Woodbridge Lodge we are especially proud of our quality
accommodation, where comfort is essential.
As a
privately owned home our responsibilities are to our
residents and not to shareholders.
Our
philosophy is that the home belongs to our residents,
and so we aim to create a home from home atmosphere that relates as closely as possible to their
previous home lives.
Our rooms
are all single occupancy, furnished to a high standard
although residents are encouraged to bring their own
furniture and personal belongings to increase the
felling of homeliness. Each room has a nurse call system
with two way communication.
Woodbridge
Lodge is well situated within a short walk of the town
of Woodbridge town which offers many facilities.
The
Library is situated in the town centre in New Street,
approximately half a mile from the home. There are
many clubs and societies catering for a wide range of
hobbies and interests in and around Woodbridge, details
of which can be obtained from the Library.
Woodbridge
lies on the banks of the river Deben, famous for its
riverside Tide Mill and is a lovely town with 1400 years
of recorded history. The town has retained a variety of
historical architecture, making it an interesting town
just to walk around and of course also the river for
boating and added interest.
